Shintaro Kobori has a solid background in security engineering with experience in multiple companies. In 2016, they joined DeNA as a Security Engineer, where they conducted vulnerability assessments for web applications, smartphone apps, games, and infrastructures. Shintaro also operated an Intrusion Detection System and a log management system, as well as developed tools for vulnerability assessment. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at pixiv Inc. as a Security Engineer, focusing on improving the security of popular applications used by millions of users worldwide. This involved conducting vulnerability assessments of web and smartphone applications and securing the corporate infrastructure. Currently, Shintaro holds the position of Red Team Ops Engineer at Woven by Toyota since October 2021.
Shintaro Kobori graduated from the University of Tsukuba in 2016 with a Bachelor of Information Engineering degree. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications. In March 2013, they achieved the EIKEN Grade 1 certification from the Eiken Foundation of Japan. In May 2021, they earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². Continuing their professional development, in March 2022, they obtained the GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) certification from GIAC Certifications. Lastly, in November 2022, they obtained the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification from Offensive Security.
