Trong Phuc Truong has a diverse background in various technology-related roles. Trong Phuc started their career as an R&D Intern at FOVE, where they worked on projects related to Eye Tracking VR Headset. During this time, they collaborated with R&D and software engineers on various projects, managed individual projects, and implemented paper results to improve eye tracking accuracy.
Following their time at FOVE, Truong joined Huawei Technologies as a Computer Vision Researcher. In this role, they focused on research and development of SLAM, 3D reconstruction, and AI algorithms for immersive AR/VR experiences. Trong Phuc utilized hardware available on mobile devices to create real-time applications and stayed updated with the latest advancements in computer vision through conferences.
Truong's most recent position is with Woven by Toyota as a Senior Engineer. Trong Phuc initially joined the company as an Engineer and worked on the lane keeping system for the next generation "Teammate" product, which is an advanced driver-assistance technology. Trong Phuc also contributed to several proof-of-concept projects. Trong Phuc'smain responsibilities involved the development and evaluation of localization, SLAM, and 3D mapping algorithms. Truong's expertise in these areas makes him a valuable asset to the team at Woven by Toyota.
Trong Phuc Truong completed a Double Degree Program, with a focus on Hyper Vision research, at Keio University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2018, Truong pursued a Master's degree in Electronics and Information Technology at Ecole polytechnique de Bruxelles. Truong's education journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the same institution from 2012 to 2015.
