IT Operations Support Manager at Woven Planet Holdings

Ty Oertel has over 15 years of experience in IT support and management roles. Ty started their career at IBM as an IT Lead, where they managed the deployment of MS Security Patches to thousands of workstations. Ty then worked at TEKsystems as a Desktop Support Team Lead, overseeing a team of technicians and supporting a large number of workstations.

Ty later joined Johnson & Johnson as a Service Delivery Lead, responsible for delivering IT end-user and infrastructure services across multiple operating companies. Ty also served as an Acting IT Manager, overseeing R&D sites in Northern California and managing a local team.

In 2015, Ty joined PayPal as an IT Support Delivery Lead for the Americas Region, managing service levels and on-site support for over 10,000 end users. Ty later became a Manager Technical Services, MTS1, where they expanded their responsibilities to include purchasing IT equipment and managing a $12M budget. Ty then took on the role of Manager, Systems Administration 2, leading the in-sourcing of the Global IT Desktop Support team and successfully integrating multiple acquisitions.

Most recently, Ty joined Woven by Toyota as an IT Operations Support Manager, where they are responsible for overseeing IT operations support.

Ty Oertel began their education at Arizona State University in 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Technological Entrepreneurship and Management. The degree was still in progress as of 2016. In addition to their degree program, Ty Oertel obtained several certifications. In February 2022, they completed the "Delegating Tasks to Your Team" and "Transitioning from Technical Professional to Manager" certifications from LinkedIn. Furthermore, in September 2007, Ty Oertel obtained the "ITIL Foundations V3" certification from Loyalist Exam Services.
