Xiaolin Yang

Software Engineer at Woven Planet Holdings

Xiaolin Yang has experience working as a Software Engineer at Woven by Toyota starting in September 2022. Prior to this, from January 2017 to January 2021, they worked as an Applications Scientist at SIGRAY, INC. In this role, they developed Python applications to process HDF5 data, implemented algorithms for peak fitting and background subtraction, and parallelized curve fitting for improved performance. From August 2015 to May 2016, Xiaolin worked as a Student Assistant at Stony Brook University's computer lab, providing assistance to students with computer-related issues. Xiaolin also briefly worked as a Guest Researcher at Argonne National Laboratory in April 2016 and as an Intern at Angang Steel Co., Ltd in July 2012. Their earliest work experience was as a Research Assistant at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences from November 2010 to March 2011.

Xiaolin Yang completed a Master's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Stony Brook University from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Northeastern University (CN) between 2008 and 2013. Additionally, Xiaolin Yang has acquired additional certifications in Python, namely "Using Python to Access Web Data" from Coursera in May 2018 and "Python Data Structures" from Coursera in April 2018.
