Sang Peiris

Sang Peiris has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Sang has held various leadership positions in different companies, focusing on digital transformation and technology. Currently, they are the Vice President of Digital Transformation & Information Technology at WP Engine, a position they have held since 2024. Prior to this, Sang worked at SP Consulting as a Digital Transformation Advisory Services consultant in 2023.

From 2021 to 2022, Sang served as the EVP of Digital Transformation & Innovation at Everise, where they played a significant role in establishing new digital lines of business, providing digital consulting services, and leading digital innovation efforts. Notably, they created a program to optimize employee experiences across global geographies, resulting in improved recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.

Before joining Everise, Sang worked at Unum from 2018 to 2020 as the Vice President of Digital Transformation and Technology. At Unum, they played a prominent role in leading digital transformation and product management for the company's division, Colonial Life.

Prior to their tenure at Unum, Sang worked at Deloitte as a Managing Director of Digital Transformation from 2017 to 2018 and at PrimalSkillet & Independent Management Consulting as an Entrepreneur from 2015 to 2017.

Sang also has experience working at Waste Management as the Vice President of Operations & Information Technology from 2013 to 2015. During their time at Waste Management, they managed a team responsible for digital transformation initiatives, as well as overseeing the divisional IT organization.

Earlier in their career, Sang worked at Deloitte Consulting as a Senior Manager from 1997 to 2010. In this role, they led the sales and implementation of large-scale Salesforce/CRM digital transformation and systems integration programs. Sang worked with various industries, including leading telecommunications companies, life sciences companies, and the world's largest contingent staffing company.

Before transitioning into the corporate world, Sang worked as the Director of Information Technology at Columbia Law School from 1994 to 1997.

Sang Peiris completed an MBA degree in Management from Columbia University between 1995 and 1997. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1991, Sang Peiris pursued a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution.
