Scott Westphal

Scott Westphal is an experienced actuarial professional currently serving as the Director of Actuarial Services at WPS since March 2025. Prior to this role, Scott held the position of Director of Actuarial and Risk Adjustment at Security Health Plan from May 2020 to February 2025, where leadership included overseeing actuarial and underwriting teams for various health insurance products. Scott's extensive experience at UnitedHealth Group spanned 15 years, during which Scott led actuarial teams responsible for pricing individual and group health insurance, product development, and risk analysis related to the PPACA. Earlier in Scott's career, Scott was the first actuary at American Medical Security, where Scott developed the actuarial department and contributed to significant membership growth. Scott began a career in the actuarial field as an R&D Analyst at Employers Health Insurance. Scott holds a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
