Mary Ann McBride

Mary Ann McBride has a diverse work experience in the film and entertainment industry. Mary Ann has worked as the Director of Film Education at WQED Multimedia, where they managed multiple programs and successfully navigated a major acquisition. Previously, they were a Birth Doula at Nurturing Families Doula Service, providing education and support to expectant and new mothers. Mary Ann also served as the Program Director at Steeltown Entertainment Project, coordinating and implementing various programs and managing partnerships with schools and community organizations. Mary Ann has also worked as an Assistant Director and Associate Producer in independent film projects. Prior to that, Mary Ann held roles at Entertainment Partners, DreamWorks SKG, and Miramax Films, where they gained experience in account management, research, and administration in the film industry.

Mary Ann McBride attended Alliance High School from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained an Honors Diploma. During their time at Alliance High School, they took Advanced Placement courses and obtained a Broadcast Arts vocational certification. Mary Ann also participated in the Post Secondary Educational Option (PSEO) program at Kent State University.

In 2002, while still attending high school, Mary Ann McBride took part in the Post Secondary Educational Option (PSEO) program at Kent State University at Stark. Mary Ann studied Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities during their time at Kent State University.

Mary Ann McBride pursued higher education at Point Park University from 2003 to 2007. Mary Ann obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Cinema and Digital Arts with a concentration in Screenwriting and Directing. Mary Ann also completed a minor in Child Development during their time at Point Park University.

In addition to their formal education, Mary Ann McBride obtained various certifications. In May 2021, they received a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. In May 2022, they completed the CPB Preventing Harassment & Discrimination Training offered by EVERFI. Furthermore, in October 2022, they successfully completed the Public Media Workforce Collaborative Leadership Training provided by the Clementine Gold Group.
