Brett Knese is a highly experienced multimedia journalist currently employed at WRAL since March 2020, specializing in breaking news. Prior to WRAL, Brett served as a multimedia journalist at WGEM TV from July 2017 to March 2020 and gained production experience as an intern at Entertainment Tonight from January 2017 to May 2017. Brett also contributes as a member of the journalism staff for The American Legion Boys State of Missouri, Inc. since June 2014. In earlier roles, Brett was the Station Manager and On-Air Personality for KCMU Eagle Radio, creating a weekly local news segment and producing a daily radio show. As Editor in Chief of The Collegian at Central Methodist College, Brett wrote and edited articles while managing the newspaper layout. Brett earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media Studies from Central Methodist University, where additional roles included serving as a Resident Assistant and providing play-by-play commentary for athletic events.
