Richard Stoop

Richard Stoop is a highly experienced marine engineer with a career spanning over two decades in various leadership roles within the maritime industry. Currently serving as Chief Engineer for a newbuild project at Wright Maritime Group, Richard previously held positions as Chief Engineer on multiple private yachts, including two significant DP Expedition Yachts. Richard's extensive background includes serving as Chief Engineer and Marine Engineering Manager at the National Oceanography Centre, managing technical operations for research vessels, and overseeing a fleet of dredgers in several managerial capacities at both United Marine Dredging Ltd and Hanson Aggregates Marine Ltd. Richard's early career involved engineering roles with Holland America Line and academics at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, where a Bachelor Degree in Marine Engineering was earned.
