Alex Wathen

Alex Wathen is a seasoned professional in the fields of venture leadership, startup advising, and sustainable infrastructure. Currently serving as a Venture Lead at Wright Partners, Alex focuses on climate tech, biotech, and B2B A.I. Since July 2017, Alex has also been involved as a Startup Advisor and Investor at AWWA Ventures. Previous experience includes roles at Partners Group and Slimmer AI, where Alex contributed to global business management in sustainable infrastructure and supported B2B A.I. ventures, respectively. As a Corporate Venture Manager at Charter Communications, Alex developed new business capabilities in Smart Cities and IoT, and co-founded Elevator9. A background in research and program management at Third Bridge Group Limited and the University of Colorado Boulder further highlights Alex's expertise in sustainability and innovation. Educational qualifications include an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
