Mars Chan, CSWE has a long history of work experience, beginning with a position as a CSUS UCCS Computer Lab Assistant in 2002. In 2006, they were a Student Intern of Engineer at the City of Sacramento, Dept of Transportation. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a R&D Technician at Ames Fire & Wateworks. During this time, they were responsible for reading test schedules, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used. Mars also replaced defective components or recorded defects. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Mechanical Engineer at Polarity, Inc. Then, from 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineer at LocoLabs LLC, where they were responsible for building coordination, test procedure design and documentation. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Western Truck Fab as a Solidworks Design Engineer, producing 3D CAD designs of highly-customized truck bodies to customer specifications from concept through completion and expanding development of in-house built truck bodies. From 2016 to 2017, they worked at GCM as a Process Engineer and Project Engineer, where they were responsible for new product introduction, manufacturing plan creation via Solidworks, and manufacturing process improvement. Finally, from 2017 to present, they have been a Senior CAD Design Engineer and CAD Design Engineer at Wrightspeed, where they plan and implements bill of material (BOM) structure to facilitate cooperation between design engineers, and between design and manufacturing and purchasing.
Mars Chan, CSWE has an extensive education history. Mars obtained an Associate degree in Science and Math from Sacramento City College in 2001. Between 2002 and 2009, they studied Mechanical Engineering Technology at California State University-Sacramento and earned a Bachelor of Science. Additionally, they have obtained numerous certifications from Dassault Systèmes, including CSWP-Core, CSWA, CSWP-MTLS, CSWP-SMTL, CSWP-WLDM, CSDA, CSWP-DRWT, CSWP-SURF, CSWE, CSWA-S, CSWP-S, and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Global Contract Manufacturing Inc. Most recently, they obtained 3DEXPERIENCE 3D Creator and CSWP-Model Based Definition in 2020.
