Cody Lowe is a seasoned freelance writer and editor with significant experience spanning several decades. Since December 2011, Cody has been self-employed, producing feature articles and profiles for various media outlets, including Roanoke County government, Farm & Wilderness Foundation, and Washington and Lee University. Prior to this, Cody spent over three decades at The Roanoke Times, holding multiple roles such as copy editor, regional news editor, and features writer, and receiving Virginia Press Association awards for excellence in column writing and feature reporting. Earlier career highlights include serving as the youngest city/managing editor at The Elizabeth City Daily Advance and working as news director at WGAI-AM radio. Cody holds a Bachelor's Degree in Radio, Television and Motion Pictures from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
