Rachel Hershberger

Rachel has delighted in words since she penned her first limerick in fourth grade. Her five-line tale about a frantic mechanic on a ship called Titanic was published in a book. Around the same time, she began spending her evenings poring over the giant encyclopedia of medical conditions in her family’s book collection. Nine-year-old Rachel would be delighted to know that 20 years later she’d be paid to put pen to paper and pore over health content.

Although Rachel studied integrative health and wellness in college, she’s taken the scenic route to a career in healthcare writing. Her path ventured through nonprofit management with a side trip to the travel industry. She’s glad to get back to her roots with WriterGirl, where she applies the skills she’s acquired over the years. Her administrative-meets-writing role perfectly combines her love of communication and passion for healthcare.
