Erin Greaney

Board Member at Writers in the Schools

Erin Greaney is a board member at Writers in the Schools and a former marketing communications manager. Erin has also been a caregiver for their mother, who has Alzheimer's disease.

Greaney began their career as a marketing communications manager at The Sawtooth Group in 2009. In this role, they were responsible for liaising between the strategic marketing executives of the agency's clients and the Creative and Production Departments to develop marketing materials, advertisements, grassroots promotions, and new concepts for direct mail and online outreach. Erin also wrote Creative Briefs, Action Plans, contributed to RFPs, oversaw layout and design, managed approval processes by multiple legal and branding departments, and monitored production and in-market implementation of all materials.

In addition to their work at The Sawtooth Group, Greaney has also been a full-time caregiver for their mother with a rare form of Early Onset Alzheimer’s called Posterior Cortical Atrophy (PCA). In this role, they have provided protective supervision in all aspects of their mother's life, including medical advocacy, financial management, transportation to all neurological and physician appointments, prescription medication management, and all other facets of caretaking to an incapacitated individual.

Erin Greaney has a BA in Advertising from Rowan University and they went to West Morris Central High School.
