Michaela R. Florio's work experience includes various roles in different companies.
From January 2017 to the present day, they have worked at Writopia Lab, starting off as a Program Manager and Lead Instructor. In this role, they taught creative writing workshops for children aged 7-18 in different locations, both in-school and at labs. Michaela_R utilized student-centered teaching methods to foster creativity and provide a safe space for expression. Additionally, they were responsible for program development, instructor training, and content creation. Michaela_R also served as the primary liaison between writers, families, and the organization for workshop coordination, marketing, and outreach initiatives.

Additionally, they were a Graduate Writing Assistant for Nonfiction, where they managed the MFA program's reading and colloquium series, organized events, and acted as a liaison between students and the administration. Michaela_R had recruitment responsibilities and mentored incoming MFA students. Michaela_R also worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Registrar's office, assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, processing student evaluations, and data entry.
Michaela R. Florio attended Sarah Lawrence College from 2012 to 2014, where they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Creative Nonfiction Writing. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Alaska Anchorage, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. In 2007, they briefly attended Eastern Washington University, although the details of their degree and field of study during that time are unknown.
