Amanda Parent, SPHR

Amanda Parent, SPHR, has over 17 years of work experience in the Human Resources field. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Regional Sales Coordinator for SRA McGraw Hill. In 2006, they moved to the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute as the Director of Student Services. In 2007, they were a Senior Human Resources Generalist for Bentall Kennedy. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Freelance HR Consultant and Career Coach. In 2015, they were an HR Manager for AHBL Inc. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at McKinstry in various roles, including Senior HR Program Manager, HR Analyst, and HR Generalist/Project Coordinator (Contract). In 2021, they were a Principal Consultant/Owner for Joyful Road LLC, providing policy consultation to organizations in the Pacific Northwest. Currently, they are the Director of People Operations for wrrk.

Amanda Parent, SPHR holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Western Governors University and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from the same institution. Amanda also holds certifications from SHRM, LinkedIn, and the HR Certification Institute, including the People Manager Qualification (PMQ) obtained in January 2022, Learning Agility obtained in December 2021, and SPHR.
