Michaela Paukner

Michaela Paukner currently serves as the Grants & Development Coordinator at WRTP | BIG STEP, a position held since August 2024. Prior to this role, Michaela spent three years at Lessiter Media, where titles included Managing Editor, Technology Editor, and Associate Editor. Experience as a Legal Reporter for The Daily Reporter/Wisconsin Law Journal involved writing daily articles, monitoring court proceedings, and conducting interviews. Michaela also worked as a Freelance Writer & Marketing Consultant, producing marketing strategies and SEO content while consulting for various businesses. Additional roles include News Producer at WISN-TV, Brand Manager at Candeo Creative, and Producer at WBAY-TV. Michaela began a media career as Weekend Assignment Editor and Writer/Editor at WLUK Fox 11 after serving as Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor at the Fourth Estate newspaper while studying at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a focus on Journalism and Photography.
