Leah Nelson

Leah Nelson, MBA, Ed.D, currently serves as the Senior Manager of Academic Program Operations at the Washington School for Girls since October 2022. Previously, Leah was a Schools Program Analyst for the Europe Region at the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), as well as an ELL Support Teacher from June 2019 to July 2022. Leah's extensive experience at Washington School for Girls includes roles such as Special Assistant to the Head of School/President, School Operations Head, Accreditation Internal Coordinator, and Director of Admissions and Family Engagement from December 2013 to January 2019. Additional prior roles include Foster Care Education Supervisor at CASA DC and Director of Education And Volunteer Training at Central Georgia CASA. Leah holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University, along with an Education Specialist degree, an MBA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the City University of New York.
