April Mardock

CISO at WSIPC

April Mardock, CISSP, currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for WSIPC, where responsibilities include leading enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy and risk management for Washington’s K-12 educational institutions. Prior to this role, April was the CISO for Seattle Public Schools for over 16 years, overseeing comprehensive information security operations and risk management. Previous positions include Cybersecurity and IT Operations Manager, Interim Director of the Department of Technology Services, and Technical Manager for Network Systems and Security. Additionally, April has experience in digital forensics, educational technology consulting, and emergency preparedness training with the American Red Cross. April holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from Capella University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Seattle Pacific University, along with a K12 Leadership Certificate from City University of Seattle.
