THE ROLE

As an active Management Team member, you will undertake multiple and complex work assignments, delivering within timeframes and managing resources to provide exemplary professional services to our Clients, and generally supporting Management to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the company in the region.

In this role you will provide capability leadership for Cost Consulting and Project Delivery including business development, marketing and technical delivery as well as supporting the broader WT Partnership business in delivering additional value to our existing and future clients globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Undertaken and deliver

  • Professional liaison with all internal and external customers and stakeholders▪

  • Provide commercially pragmatic and technically accurate technical cost / project management & controls advice to our Clients

  • Identify and facilitate business opportunities to enable the growth and continuity of work within the region

  • Resource planning

  • Ensure the efficient and organized working of staff

  • Encourage staff suggestions and feedback on current practice

  • Provide day to day oversight of your direct reports and projects to management.

  • Office management duties ensuring the financial performance of the office

  • Maintain professional expertise and continue professional development

  • Ensure the implementation of WT Partnership policies

  • Undertake all necessary technical duties as required including:

    • Project Controls
    • Owners Representative Services
    • Program Assessment & Audit
    • Value Engineering
    • Dispute Resolution Advisory
    • Contract negotiations
    • Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
  • Procurement advisory

  • Bid Evaluations and analysis

  • Risk Management Facilitation

  • Masterplan and Feasibility Advice

  • Project Structuring & Governance (Owners Advisory and Project Management)

  • Project Management

  • Cost Consulting (full service)

  • Initiate and lead the development of WT Partnership policies and practice

  • Develop and implement operation processes which ensure a high level of efficiency and effectiveness

  • Generally ensure commercial interests of the company are fully protected at all times

  • Marketing and sales

  • Interview and recommend potential permanent and contract staff as directed

  • Assist in fostering a continuous learning environment through provision of staff training, thought leadership and mentoring

  • Demonstrate practical leadership and provide direction to staff

  • Ensure that clients are invoiced for work done on an accurate and timely basis

  • Develop, expand and maintain existing WT Client relationships

Other tasks

  • Work as Project Leader or Job Captain, including:

    • Ensure that staff are appropriately trained/experienced
    • Ensure sound resourcing, progress, and standards are maintained
    • The setting of specific quality objectives
    • The establishment of quality plans where required.
  • Selection of Procedures and specific Quality Records

  • Day to day liaison with Clients and design teams

  • Plan sound management controls

  • Brief, direct and supervise staff so as to satisfy Client's requirements

REQUIRED

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent relevant degree

  • A minimum of 8 years’ technical experience

  • Pre and post-contract experience

  • US citizenship and/or existing/transferable right to work in US

PREFERRED

  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Accreditation (MRICS), or equivalent preferred
  • Experience using cost X, OST, Revit, BIM
