Kenneth I. Ozoemena

Kenneth I. Ozoemena serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief for Electrochemistry Communications at Elsevier since October 2023. Currently an Honorary Professor at Wuhan University of Technology, and a SARChI Research Chair in Materials Electrochemistry and Energy Technologies at the University of the Witwatersrand since September 2014, Kenneth leads significant research initiatives in advanced batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, and electrolyzers. Previous positions include Visiting Professor at Cornell University, Extra-ordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria, and Chief Research Scientist at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), where leadership included overseeing the development of electrochemical energy technologies. Kenneth holds a PhD in Chemistry from Rhodes University and multiple degrees related to management and education from institutions including the University of Pretoria and the University of Lagos.
