Matt Crook

Matt Crook is the current Managing Director at WunderLand Group. Matt has over a decade of experience in staffing and management, with a focus on the IT and marketing fields.

Crook began their career with Aquent, LLC in 2005 as the Chicago Branch IT Manager. Matt was quickly promoted to President of smartdept. inc. in 2007, where they oversaw the day-to-day operations for all offices of the company. In this role, Crook was responsible for developing large volume MSP/VMS accounts for multiple Fortune 500 clients. Matt also negotiated and executed all client contracts.

Under Crook's leadership, the smartdept. inc. team was one of 17 chosen to start a Marketing Analytics Practice in 2006. The team quickly became the top performers in the company, based on talent working, revenue, and gross profit. In 2018, Crook transitioned to their current role as Managing Director at WunderLand Group.

Matt Crook studied at Northern Illinois University where they gained a Bachelor’s Degree. This gave him the skills and knowledge needed to progress in their career.

They are on a team with Kirk Hathaway - Senior Manager of People & Culture, Paul Owen - Director of Operations, and Kerry Barrett - CEO & President, WunderLand Group. Matt Crook reports to Leo Sheridan, Executive Chairman & CEO, Advanced Group.
