Stefan Werland is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in climate, environment, and energy research. Currently serving as Co-Head of the Berlin Office and Senior Researcher at Wuppertal Institut für Klima, Umwelt, Energie gGmbH since September 2016, Stefan has a strong background in environmental policy. Prior roles include serving as a wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Freie Universität Berlin Forschungszentrum für Umweltpolitik from January 2009 to October 2016 and at TU Dresden from January 2006 to December 2008. Earlier experience includes working as a wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft at Universität Trier and a freier Mitarbeiter at Germanwatch. Stefan holds an M.A. in Political Science, Geography, and Sociology from Universität Trier and has studied at IEP Bordeaux.
