Noam Koren

VP, Data and Machine Learning at Wurl

Noam Koren has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Noam worked at Elbit Vision Systems Ltd. from 1994 to 1997 as a HW Design Engineer, where they were involved in the design of digital hardware and FPGAs for computer vision defect inspection systems. From 1997 to 2001, they worked at Harmonic as a HW designer, contributing to the system-level architecture of multiple product families. Noam then progressed to become the Director, Advanced System Development, where they played a significant role in research and design of video processing and compression technologies. Subsequently, they became the Senior Director Advanced Systems Development, leading the development of GPU and many-core implementation solutions. After that, they took on the role of VP Technology at Harmonic, leading the technology team in developing future technologies such as content-aware encoding. In 2018, they co-founded 1533 Systems, Inc., which was later acquired by DataDog. In their role as Co-Founder, they developed new deep learning algorithms for AI and video analytics, as well as designing system architecture. Currently, they are working at Wurl as part of the Analytics and Data Science team.

Noam Koren obtained a Bsc in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, completing their studies from 1989 to 1993. No additional certifications or details regarding specific courses or achievements were provided.
