Russell Mathias

Russell Mathias has an extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Russell is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Wurl since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Vice President of Finance at Wurl from October 2021 to March 2023.

Before joining Wurl, Russell held various positions at Vungle. Russell served as the Head of FP&A and Revenue Strategy from May 2019 to October 2021 and as the Head of FP&A from October 2018 to May 2019. Earlier in their career at Vungle, they worked as an FP&A Manager from May 2016 to October 2018 and as an FP&A from March 2015 to May 2016. Russell started their tenure at Vungle as a Senior Accountant from August 2013 to March 2015.

Prior to Vungle, Russell worked at Mina Group as an Accounting Manager from July 2011 to August 2013 and as a Staff Accountant from October 2010 to July 2011. Russell also has experience working at UCSF Medical Center as an Accountant/Accounts Payable from October 2009 to October 2010.

In the early stages of their career, Russell served as a Financial Advisor Intern at Tocco Financial Services from October 2008 to June 2009. Russell also worked as an A/P & Office Admin Intern at Health Outcomes Solutions from June 2008 to August 2008 and as a Financial Analyst Intern at National Retail Properties, Inc from June 2007 to August 2007.

Russell Mathias attended the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance. During the same period, they also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Arizona. In 2011, Russell enrolled in a Certificate Program in Accounting at UC Berkeley Extension, completing it in 2013. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the California Board of Accountancy; however, the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
