Andrew Prongay

Associate Principal Scientist at WuXi Advanced Therapies

Andrew Prongay began their work experience in 1993 as a Senior Scientist at Schering-Plough Research Institute. Andrew then worked as an Associate Principal Scientist at Schering Plough from 1998 to 2003. Andrew later returned to Schering-Plough Research Institute as a Principal Scientist from 2003 to 2009. In 2010, they joined Merck Research Laboratories as a Principal Scientist until 2011. Starting in 2014, Prongay worked as a Sr Research Investigator at the Gene Therapy Program University of Pennsylvania, focusing on process development for vector particle production and purification. Most recently, they have held roles as a Principal Scientist and Associate Principal Scientist at WuXi Advanced Therapies since 2018.

Andrew Prongay earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from Rutgers University, which was completed from 1980 to 1982. Andrew then pursued a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan from 1982 to 1989. Following that, they undertook post-doctoral studies in X-ray Crystallography at Purdue University from 1989 to 1993.
