Luan T.

Luan T. has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Their most recent role is as an Associate Principal Scientist at WuXi Advanced Therapies, where they have been employed since April 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Eli Lilly and Company for two years as the Bioprocess Purification Development Manager. Luan also worked at Merck for five years as a Vaccine Process Development and Commercialization Research Scientist.

Before their time at Merck, Luan had an extensive tenure at WuXi AppTec, where they held various roles. Luan started as a Research Scientist II in Virology, focusing on the development of concentration and purification processes for live viruses. Luan also performed viral clearance testing using cell-based and qPCR assays, and provided technical trainings to junior staff. Luan then transitioned to the role of Research Scientist I in Virology, before finally becoming a Research Scientist I in Downstream Process Development.

Earlier in their career, Luan worked as a Purification Process Development Associate at LAUREATE PHARMA, INC., as well as a Research Technician at Fresenius HemoCare, a Division of Fresenius Medical Care. Luan began their professional journey at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center as a Laboratory Technician, where they performed various tasks such as yeast transformation, PCR assay, SDS-PAGE, culture media and buffer preparation, and general lab maintenance.

Luan T.'s education history begins with their enrollment at Seattle Central College from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Chemistry. They then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Washington from 2002 to 2005, majoring in Chemistry. Later, Luan went on to study at the Stevens Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2015, earning a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
