Ron Oates

Ron Oates has over 27 years of experience in steel detailing and checking. Currently serving as a Steel Detailer and Checker at W&W / AFCO Steel since February 2008, Ron has developed a strong expertise in the field. Previous roles include detailing and checking for Simpad LLC, where floor plans, elevations, and roof plans for the housing industry were prepared using AutoCAD. Ron also contributed to complex steel bridge projects at Hirschfeld Industries and was involved in the detailing and production of prototype mobile and modular homes at Oakwood Homes Ltd. Early career experience includes detailing modular gas stations and canopies for American Modular Technologies. Ron Oates holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
