Mark Symons

Mark Symons is an experienced media professional currently serving as Senior Media Advisor at WWF-Australia since February 2013. Previously, Mark held the position of Regional Media Coordinator at Premier and Cabinet (Queensland) from 2010 to March 2012, where responsibilities included coordinating government media strategies and managing issues across regional media outlets. Mark also served as Senior Media Advisor for various ministers within the Queensland Government from 2003 to 2009, and worked as a Senior Reporter at Seven Network Limited from 2000 to 2003. Mark's journalism career began at Network Ten Brisbane, where Mark was a Reporter and State Political Editor from 1984 to 2000. Academically, Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, and Public Relations, along with a double major in Journalism and Public Relations from Queensland University of Technology.
