Arati Khadgi has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and organizations. In 2012, they started as a Teaching Assistant at Kathmandu University, followed by a position as a Program Officer at Lumbini Environmental Services Pvt. Ltd. from 2012 to 2013. Arati then worked as a Research Associate at Kathmandu University from May 2013 to September 2013. In 2013, they joined Eco Envoy as a Program Officer and later became a Senior Program Officer until 2015. From 2016 to 2021, Arati worked at WWF Nepal, starting as a Program Officer and eventually being promoted to the role of Senior Program Officer. Since 2021, they have held the position of Head of Climate and Energy Program at WWF Nepal.

Arati Khadgi obtained a Master's degree in Pollution Management from Kathmandu University, completing their studies from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended St. Mary's College without earning a degree, where they focused on Biology, General. In addition to their formal education, Arati Khadgi also holds certifications in Climate Smart Agriculture from the University of Reading, obtained in October 2020, and an EFSET English Certificate 77/100 (C2 Proficient) from EF Standard English Test (EF SET).
