Alexander Kersten has an extensive work experience spanning multiple industries. Alexander is currently working as the Head of Individual Marketing at WWF Switzerland since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at SBB CFF FFS as a Specialist in Market, Competition, and Strategy from 2019 to 2023. Before that, they held various positions at Quickline AG, including Director Go2Market and Head of Market Development & Communication, from 2015 to 2019. Alexander also has experience working at Swisscom (Schweiz) AG as a Strategic Business Development Manager and Strategic Project Manager from 2005 to 2014. Further, they worked as Head of Marketing at umantis AG from 2001 to 2005 and as a Research Assistant at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in 2001 and 1998-1999 respectively. Alexander started their career as a Marketing Assistant at Taurus Werbeagentur GmbH & Co. KG from 1995 to 1998.
Alexander Kersten has a diverse education history. In 2016-2017, they attended Manres where they pursued a degree in Leading Transformation | Coaching, focusing on Organizational Leadership. Prior to that, from 2012-2013, they studied at the University of St.Gallen and earned a Diploma in Sustainable Business, with a field of study in Economics. In 2007-2008, they completed a Diploma program in Strategic Project Management at Swisscom. Alexander Kersten holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics, which they obtained from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg during 1994-2000. Lastly, from 1985-1994, they attended Schönborn-Gymnasium, where they specialized in Physik/Chemie.
