Katherine Dykstra

Katherine Dykstra is an accomplished author with extensive experience in nonfiction writing and editing. Currently serving as an author at W. W. Norton & Company, Inc. since August 2013, Katherine previously held the position of Senior Nonfiction Editor at Guernicamag.com from 2006 to 2017. In addition to editorial roles, Katherine also worked as an instructor at New York University, teaching a course on nonfiction writing from January 2009 to 2014. Katherine's journalism background includes being a reporter at the New York Post from October 2003 to April 2013, a senior editor at The Independent Film & Video Monthly from June 2005 to June 2006, and an associate editor at Redbook magazine from 2001 to 2003. Early career experience includes reporting for the Kansas City Star in 1998. Katherine holds an MFA in Nonfiction from The New School and a BJ in Magazine Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
