Simon Smith

Simon Smith has a diverse work experience in the engineering industry. Simon began their career as a Geotechnical Engineer at North West Water Engineering in 1992, where they worked for two years. Simon then moved to Bechtel Corporation as a Geotechnical Engineer for a year before joining Edward Roscoe as a Structural Engineer in 1995. In 1996, they transitioned to Curtins Consulting Ltd as a Senior Structural Engineer and worked there until 1999. Simon then joined WYG Group as a Technical Director, where they were involved in various major structural projects in the public and private sectors. Simon was responsible for tasks such as tendering, budget control, project management, and structural design. Simon's role at WYG Group continues, and they have worked on projects such as the MMU Business School & Student Hub and Birmingham City University Conservatoire.

Simon Smith obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Manchester, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. Prior to that, they attended Byrchall High School from 1981 to 1986, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned during that time.
