Shane Smith

Shane Smith has extensive experience in media arts and meteorology, currently serving as a Media Arts Instructor at the Laurel County Board of Education since March 2016, where there is a focus on TV and Film Production. Shane also works as a Freelance Meteorologist for both WYMT and WKYT-TV, alongside teaching visual communication and video production as an Adjunct Instructor at Somerset Community College. Previously, Shane held positions as Chief Meteorologist and Weekend Meteorologist at WYMT-TV and WOAY-TV, backed by a Master of Science in Career & Technical Education from Eastern Kentucky University and a Bachelor of Science in Geography with an emphasis in Meteorology from Western Kentucky University.
