Neil Rodrigues

Neil Rodrigues is an experienced applied scientist specializing in Edge AI and model compression, currently holding the position of Applied Scientist III at Wyze since May 2021. Previously, Rodrigues advanced through roles as Applied Scientist II and I at Wyze, following an internship at Wyze Labs where notable achievements included accelerating model inference and developing deployment pipelines. Prior research experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant for the DARPA Subterranean Challenge Team PLUTO, where contributions included building a vision-based artifact localizer and enhancing inference speed for segmentation networks. Rodrigues has a strong foundation in robotics, with involvement in the Robotics Interest Group at NITC and a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut.
