Machine Learning Engineer at X, the moonshot factory

Alexander Holiday has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Alexander started their career as an Inner City Camp Leader at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, where they collaborated with fellow counselors to organize camp events and taught various subjects to young children.

Alexander then worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at both the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and 上海交通大学, where they gained research experience in different fields.

After that, Alexander joined Cargill as a Research Intern and later became a Technical Consultant, where they provided technical expertise and support.

Alexander then pursued graduate studies at Princeton University, where they focused on applied nonlinear dimensionality reduction techniques and expanded the applicability of Diffusion Maps to network systems.

Following their time at Princeton, Alexander pursued a Data Science Fellowship at Insight Data Science, where they built a system called cargocodes.trade to automatically assign tax codes to shipping containers.

Most recently, they worked as a Software Engineer at Google and is currently employed as a Machine Learning Engineer at X, the moonshot factory, where they likely utilizes their skills in machine learning and engineering to contribute to cutting-edge projects.

Alexander Holiday earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota between 2009 and 2012. Subsequently, they pursued further studies at Princeton University, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemical Engineering from 2012 to 2017.
