Karen Dobson

Karen Dobson, PMP® has extensive experience in supply chain management and program management in the pharmaceutical industry. Karen began their career as an Operations Manager at SMC Corporation of America, where they implemented process improvements and managed customer service and distribution centers. Karen then worked at Wyeth Biotech as a Planning Manager and Operations Project Specialist, handling strategic planning, project leadership, and materials management for multiple production areas and products. Karen then joined Shire HGT as a Sr. Project Manager/Supply Operations Manager, overseeing IT system projects and managing the MRP/ERP system. Karen later became an Associate Director - Supply Chain Operations at Shire HGT, where they supervised a team and handled planning, procurement, and inventory management. After that, Karen worked at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals as a Sr. Manager and Associate Director of Global Clinical Supply Chain, responsible for supply chain processes and clinical supply management for multiple clinical programs. Karen is currently a Senior Director of Supply Chain at X4 Pharmaceuticals. Overall, Karen Dobson has demonstrated their expertise in supply chain management, program management, and strategic planning throughout their career.

Karen Dobson, PMP® obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management from the Van Loan School at Endicott College from 2002 to 2004. In 2012 to 2013, they completed the Advanced Project Management Certificate Program at Stanford University. In 2009, they earned a Certificate in Applied Business Analysis from Boston University. Prior to that, in 2001 to 2002, they received a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain from Northeastern University. Karen also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. Additionally, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in April 2019.
