Roger Hanselmann

Roger Hanselmann is a seasoned professional in process chemistry with extensive experience spanning several prestigious organizations. Currently serving as Senior Director of Process Chemistry at X4 Pharmaceuticals since September 2018, Roger previously held the position of Director of Process Research & Development at Akebia Therapeutics from July 2013 to September 2018. Prior roles include Associate Director of Process Chemistry at Rib-X Pharmaceuticals and Senior Research Scientist in Process R&D at DuPont Pharmaceuticals. Roger’s academic background features a Ph.D. in Organic Synthesis from the University of Calgary, complemented by a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at Oregon State University and a Full-Time Teaching Assistant role at Winterthur Polytechnic. Early career experience includes a Laboratory Assistant position at Ciba-Geigy and an apprenticeship with Ciba-Geigy Ltd.
