David Jankowski has extensive work experience spanning over several decades. David is currently a Guest Lecturer at Penn State University - Smeal College of Business, a role they began in 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Commercial Operations Leader at Xact Metal starting in 2018.
Before their time at Xact Metal, David held various positions at GE Inspection Technologies from 2004 to 2018. David served as the North America Product Sales Leader, responsible for sales growth and market share penetration in multiple industry segments. Additionally, they worked closely with the NAFTA Commercial Sales leader to develop go-to-market strategies. David was also the Product Line Leader and Site Leader, where they oversaw sales growth, profitability, strategic planning, and product management. David led the industrial product line through the GE transition, leveraging their capabilities.
Prior to GE Inspection Technologies, David was the Managing Director at AGFA NDT UK from 2002 to 2004. During their tenure, they led the team through a transition to a common vision and operational metrics and stabilized the workforce following multiple acquisitions. David consistently exceeded sales revenue targets.
Starting in 1998, David transitioned the StressTel NDT operation from California to State College and served as the General Manager until 2002. David stabilized the global sales organization, improved the product portfolio, and increased sales.
From 1987 to 1998, David worked at Krautkramer Branson as a Senior Product Manager. David was responsible for the full ownership of various product lines, including mechanical hardness testing, ultrasonic measurement, and eddy current testing. David was recognized as a growth leader and frequently tasked with revitalizing struggling operations.
David began their career at The Timken Company in 1978 as a Supervising Application Engineer. David held this role for nearly a decade before moving on to other opportunities.
David Jankowski obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Lehigh University between 1974 and 1978. Following this, they pursued further education and earned a Master's degree in Materials Engineering from Case Western Reserve University from 1985 to 1987.
