Lead Photonics Engineer at Xanadu

Emma Lomonte has worked as a Photonics Engineer at Xanadu since May 2023. Prior to that, they were a Physics PhD Student and a Teaching Assistant at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster from January 2019 to May 2023. Emma also had a Fellowship Internship at Xanadu from June 2022 to December 2022. Before their academic pursuits, Emma had a six-month Erasmus Traineeship at Münster Nanofabrication Facility where they optimized the nanofabrication workflow and worked on the realization of single photon sources. Emma also worked part-time as a secretary at Università degli Studi di Pavia and had a one-month work experience as a receptionist at Euro Queens Hotel in London.

Emma Lomonte has a diverse education history. Emma completed their PhD at the University of Münster, although the specific field of study is not provided. From 2016 to 2018, they pursued a Laurea Magistrale LM degree in Fisica della materia condensata e dei materiali at the Università di Pavia. In 2019, Emma attended the Summer School "Light-Matter Interactions towards the Nanoscale" at the Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture in Erice, Sicilia (Italia). Earlier, they obtained a Laurea triennale in Fisica from the Università di Pavia between 2013 and 2016. Emma's educational journey began with their High School Diploma from IISS Ricciotto Canudo in 2013.
