Jen Dodd has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2004, they started as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Queensland and worked in the role until 2007. During this time, they also served as a Consultant in Science Outreach through their self-employed venture, Jen Dodd.

Jen completed their Bachelor of Science degree with first-class honors in the fields of Physics and Mathematics in the year 2000. Following this, Jen pursued further studies and obtained their Ph.D. in Physics from The University of Queensland, completing their doctoral degree between 2001 and 2004.
