Geraldine Farrell

An experienced non-executive director and senior executive, with a background in corporate governance, IP and commercial law, Gerry’s directorships include being a member of Swinburne University Council, director of the Hawthorn Football Club’s Foundation and director of a private biotechnology company.

Gerry’s current executive role is as Company Secretary and Head of People and Corporate Projects at an ASX-listed medicinal cannabis company. Previously she was General Counsel and Company Secretary for a NASDAQ-listed biotechnology company. Before her executive roles, Gerry worked for almost two decades as a commercial & IP lawyer at several large Australian law firms.

Gerry has a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Laws and a Masters of Law from Monash University. She is also a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Xavier College first opened in 1878 and has a proud history as an Australian educational institution. They have three campuses – the Senior Campus in Kew (Years 9-12), Burke Hall in Kew (K-8), and Kostka Hall in Brighton (K-8) – educating 125 girls from Kindergarten to Year 4 and 1960 boys from Kindergarten to Year 12.
