Saara Mikkonen

Saara Mikkonen is a scientist at Xbrane Biopharma AB since June 2021, following a postdoctoral researcher position at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from May 2018 to May 2021, where capillary and chip electrophoresis methods were developed for bioprocess monitoring, including a year of parental leave. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at the University of Bern from March 2017 to March 2018 and a PhD student position at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from August 2011 to November 2016, focusing on bioanalytical applications using microfluidic electrophoretic procedures. Additional experience includes serving as a teaching assistant and substitute teacher, as well as a short stint in quality control at AstraZeneca during a summer position in 2009. Saara Mikkonen obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Analytical Chemistry from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (2011-2016) and a Master of Science in Engineering, Chemistry from the same institution (2006-2011), with exchange studies in Physical and Analytical Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich (2009-2010).
