Amy Schneider is Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Securities at Xcel Energy, overseeing the company’s corporate secretary function and legal practice areas related to corporate governance, securities laws, employee benefits and compensation and privacy. Previously she served as assistant general counsel supporting the company in its corporate governance, SEC reporting and financing matters. Prior to joining Xcel Energy, Schneider spent 15 years in private practice at two Am Law 100 law firms, Faegre Drinker and Dorsey & Whitney, where she gained extensive experience advising large and small cap companies in the areas of corporate law, corporate governance and compliance, securities laws and executive compensation. She also served for five years as Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at UnitedHealth Group, where she provided support for the activities of the Board of Directors and its standing committees.
