Nathan Svoboda

Nathan Svoboda has over two decades of experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Principal Operations Support Consultant at Xcel Energy since January 2001, focusing on operations standardization and wind farm development support. Prior roles at Xcel Energy include Plant Manager for multiple wind farms, where responsibilities encompassed safety, financial oversight, operational performance, maintenance, staffing, and environmental compliance, as well as Plant Superintendent, overseeing operations and maintenance teams. Nathan also gained foundational experience as a Plant Engineer, maintaining a refuse derived fuel power plant, and previously worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Black Hills Corporation. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, earned in 2000.
