Russell Girtz

Russell Girtz is an experienced engineering professional with a career spanning over three decades in the energy and engineering sectors. Since August 2006, Russell has held the position of Director of Reliability Engineering - Renewables at Xcel Energy, where responsibilities include overseeing engineering initiatives focused on renewable energy reliability. Prior to this role, Russell served as Manager of Capital Projects at the same company. Before joining Xcel Energy, Russell worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Black & Veatch from February 1992 to July 2006. Russell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University, obtained between 1986 and 1991.
