Ian Bosley has extensive work experience in the field of software development and enterprise architecture. Ian began their career at Trimble Navigation in 1994, where they worked on various projects involving GIS CAD/CAE office applications, handheld data collector firmware, and interfacing with external devices. Ian also served as a project leader for two separate products. In 1999, they joined Motorola, where they designed and implemented a COM library for GIS map control. At DPR Consulting in 2001, they developed a web-based workflow management system for a life assurance and pensions company. Ian then worked at BNP Paribas as a Senior Software Developer, designing a client-server architecture for a front office credit derivatives deal capture and analysis application. Ian joined RCS Worldwide in 2003, where they designed a web-based proposal/deal capture application and maintained a commercial radio traffic system. From 2005 to 2008, they worked at Argos Financial Systems Limited as a Lead Developer, leading a team in extending and maintaining a legacy C++/MFC/SQL Server application suite and refactoring the architecture. Ian then joined HiFX New Zealand as the Global Software Development Manager, managing a globally distributed team and working on a foreign exchange trading system. Since 2018, they have been serving as the Director of Enterprise Architecture at XE.com.
Ian Bosley began their education at Rathkeale College, where they studied from 1985 to 1987. Ian then went on to attend Trinity Senior College from 1988 to 1989. Lastly, Ian pursued a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Computer Science at the University of Canterbury from 1990 to 1994.
