Viralkumar Davra

Viralkumar Davra Ph.D. is a Senior Scientist at Xencor since September 2020 with prior experience in various scientific roles at notable institutions. At the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Viralkumar focused on the expression and purification of recombinant fusion molecules for preclinical studies in tumor biology and viral infections. As a Graduate Student Researcher at Rutgers University - Newark, Viralkumar engineered novel fusion molecules and investigated immune-suppressive functions related to cancer therapy. Additional experience includes research on antimicrobial compounds at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and investigations into cholesterol modulating agents during a Master’s thesis at Long Island University. Viralkumar holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Cancer from Rutgers University, a Master’s in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Long Island University, and a Bachelor's in Pharmacy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
