Carolyn Newton

Carolyn Newton currently holds the position of Engineer III in Human Factors at X-energy since August 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Environmental Health and Safety Manager at The New York Public Library from February 2020 to March 2023, and Human Performance Engineer at MEI Technologies, inc. from July 2018 to October 2019, where work involved evaluating habitability for NASA's Deep Space Gateway Habitat. Carolyn's background also features roles as a Human Factors Engineer at GeoLogics LLC and internships at NASA and various research positions during graduate studies at the University of North Dakota. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Space Studies from the University of North Dakota and a Bachelor of Science in Human Factors from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
