Jon Adkins

President & Executive Director | Co-founder at XenoTherapeutics

Jon Adkins has a long history of experience in the medical industry. Jon began their career in 2002 as a Sales Associate at Zimmer, where they were responsible for a territory that generated $1.5 million and helped the sales team grow over $6 million in total joint replacement and trauma. In 2007, they joined Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics as a Sales Consultant. Jon then moved to Bacterin International, Inc. as a Distributor in 2010, and Depuy Synthes as a Sales Consultant the same year. In 2013, they returned to Smith & Nephew as a Sales, Management, and Consultant. In 2021, they co-founded Alexis Bio and joined the Board of Directors. Most recently, in 2016, they co-founded XenoTherapeutics, a not-for-profit, clinical-stage regenerative medicine company developing innovative cell and tissue-based research solutions.

Jon Adkins attended Berkeley Preparatory School from 1991 to 1998. Jon then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Florida, which they completed in 2002. In 2015, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
